When it comes to value in a vehicle, it is hard to beat all-around great cars that Honda produces year after year.

As some of the longest-lasting cars on the automobile market, you can be sure that a Honda vehicle will offer you low maintenance over many, many miles.

It is no wonder, then, that Consumer Guide likes the recent lineup of vehicles that Honda has put out in the past year.

Consumer Guide has long been one of the most reliable resources for people who look to get the most for their money when buying new cars.

For over half a century now, it has been known for providing unbiased reviews that identify the strengths and weaknesses of a given vehicle’s key features.

Due to Honda’s dependability as a quality automaker, Consumer Guide has named multiple Honda Vehicles to its most recent list of great-value vehicles.

The 2023 Consumer Guide Best Buys has listed two Honda cars as being among the best in the compact car and compact pickup truck categories.

Both the 2023 Honda Civic, a compact sedan, and the 2023 Honda Ridgeline, a compact pickup truck, are the two vehicles the publication has listed as being Consumer Guide Best Buys.

If you are in the market for a new sedan or truck, then do not hesitate to reach out to us at Neil Huffman Honda in Clarksville, Indiana, where we have the 2023 Honda Civic in stock.

Here is why you should consider the 2023 Honda Civic as your next vehicle.

What Makes the The 2023 Honda Civic a Good Pick

The Consumer Guide gave the 2023 Honda Civic an overall “A” grade for value.

Though it is a compact car, the Consumer Guide rated it A- for room and comfort, and believes that big and tall individuals will be just fine with the interior.

As far as performance goes, this car has excellent acceleration and can reach high speeds in very short times, perfect for highway driving.

You also get style in addition to the comfort and performance, as the Consumer Guide also gave this vehicle an A- for fit and finish.

We recommend this vehicle for anyone who is looking for a practical vehicle that is also very fun to drive. Historically, Honda Civic vehicles have drawn a certain appeal for drivers who are interested in “street performance”, where a car’s acceleration and handling are considered to be of high importance.

Even for an average driver, you can find plenty of enjoyment in the 2023 Honda Civic’s performance, while enjoying its comfortable interior.

Honda has made the promise to make their lineup fully EV by 2050

30 electric vehicle (EV) models will be offered by Honda by 2030. In that same decade, you will see Honda producing at least 2 million EVs per year

This is all part of a $38 billion investment that Honda is pouring into its electrification efforts.

But even now, you are going to be seeing more and more electric Honda vehicles hitting our lots at Neil Huffman Honda in Clarksville, Indiana

Honda’s Next-Gen EV Will Be Here Next Year

The 2024 Honda Prologue will be a fully electric SUV. This will be Honda’s first step forward in creating a wholly electric fleet.

This SUV preserves everything you already like about SUVs: Cargo space (102.6 cubic feet), a rugged design, and road-ready wheels (21 inches).

The ride will also be quieter, thanks to an electric battery being less noisy than a running fuel engine.

Benefits of Driving an Electric Honda Vehicle

Electric motors can achieve instant torque at 0 rpm, allowing for faster takeoffs.

You can also save big on an electric vehicle if you qualify for tax credits, which can help you save up to $7,500*.

Some states allow EVs access to high-occupancy vehicle lanes, which can save you time on your commutes.

Batteries are also designed for longevity, with most manufacturers offering an 8-year, or 100,000-mile, warranty for batteries.

The big draw for many is that low emissions is better for the environment. Honda is committed to eliminating tailpipe emissions in Honda vehicles by 2040.

Oh, and you save plenty of money that would otherwise be going to gas.

Charging Stations Will Be the Next Gas Stations

For many people curious about EVs, the worry is that charging an EV may be a challenge.

However, there is no need to worry, as electric charging stations are becoming more and more common. In fact there are already close to 50,000 electric vehicle charging stations across the U.S.A.

If you can afford it, you can get an individual charging station, which 130,000 people have already invested in.

Will Shell, BP, Chevron, et al be folding now that charging stations are expanding nationwide, while fuel cars are slowly but surely being phased out of the marketplace?

If your intuition is yes, consider that the manufacturers of fuel vehicles are now making electric vehicles. You can be certain that those gas station chains will be converting to electric charging stations in the future.

The 2023 Honda Pilot

More and more over the years, we have been seeing drivers who are interested in SUVs that offer more than just three rows and plenty of cargo space.

People want power, performance, and style to be as much a part of their SUV’s design as safety and space.

Auto manufacturers have been listening, Honda in particular.

If you are in the market for an SUV that is not just your everyday minivan, then we here at Neil Huffman Honda of Clarksville, Indiana urge you to consider the 2023 Honda Pilot.

The Best Features of the 2023 Honda Pilot

A 285-horsepower V-6 engine gives this vehicle a power that is impressive for an SUV.

Honda has also improved the handling for this latest model of the pilot. Specifically, weight distribution has been improved so that cornering and overall driving is now much more smooth.

As far as safety goes, a multi-camera system makes sure that everything around you on the road can be detected and accounted for. Preventing and avoiding accidents on the road has never been easier.

Even blind spots are accounted for with a radar system that will alert you to any incoming vehicles.

With the All Wheel Drive trims, gas mileage is 19/25/21 city/highway/combined. For 2WD trims, that is 19/27/22 city/highway/combined.

What Kind of Driver Is the 2023 Honda Pilot For?

With three rows of seating and 18.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, this is certainly appropriate for people with families.

It is perhaps most appropriate for anyone looking for a larger SUV with cross-country potential. For instance, you can tow up to 5,000 pounds on the AWD trims of the 2023 Honda Pilot.

In case you are wondering about that towing capacity, that is sufficient to haul a 24-foot camper or a 22-foot boat.

You can be comfortable going on adventures in this vehicle, as the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System implements offline maps, so you can still find your way even when you are far off the beaten path.

Overall, if you are someone who is looking for a travel-ready SUV that can keep every passenger comfortable during both lengthy road trips and everyday commutes, then consider the 2023 Honda Pilot.

2023 Honda Pilot Pricing

As it is with most vehicles, the particular price of a 2023 Honda Pilot depends on the trim level that you are interested in.

At Neil Huffman Honda, we always get excited each year to see a new edition of the Honda CR-V. With 2022 being this great, ever-evolving compact SUV’s 25th anniversary, we are especially excited to see the arrival of the 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid, which offers a bevy of outstanding features that should put it at the top of the holiday-gifts list for anyone in the market for a new vehicle.

A Powerful Hybrid

When you buy a 2023 Honda CR-V Sport Touring, you get a 204-horsepower powertrain and real-time AWD. The Drive System includes four modes, one of which is specially-designed for snow conditions.

A 16-valve valve train with dual-overhead camshafts (abbv. DOHC; these optimize piston movement, which is responsible for producing the power that drives your wheels) optimizes the fuel economy of this vehicle.

High-Style Interior

The interior of the 2023 Honda CR-V creates the feeling of a true union between a more functional family SUV and a sportier vehicle.

Leather-trimmed seats feature orange-stitched sport styling that is also found on the shift knob and steering wheel. Driver and passenger alike will achieve optimal comfort levels with power-adjustable seating.

A spacious center console can fit whatever handheld items you need on the road, with trays that can help you organize those items.

The infotainment system features an all-digital interface that includes a sophisticated digital modeling system representing your drivetrain. Radio or phone-connected sound is crisply delivered through a Bose premium surround-sound system.

Driving is made safer and easier with Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keeping Assist System.

What Kind of Driver Is This Vehicle Best For?

A hybrid vehicle combines a fuel engine and electric motors to not only better fuel economy, but create a better driving experience overall.

For instance, the rides of hybrid cars tend to be much more seamless and silent (the 2023 Honda CR-V features Active Noise Cancellation) compared to fuel rides. Acceleration on the whole tends to be more smooth.

Of course, being an SUV, this is an attractive option for families. Its sportier design means you won’t be the parent driving a huge unwieldy vehicle. This car is sporty with the space to carry your kids in the back seats and any cargo in the trunk.

However, even single drivers can get a lot out of this car. If you travel a lot and are looking for a car with plenty space to fit your travel gear, or just with additional room to stretch out in, then keep the 2023 Honda CR-V in mind.

Across the automotive industry, prices have been rising due to a number of factors, from the recent semiconductor shortage to inflation.

At Neil Huffman Honda, this has left a number of our customers wondering when is the best time to buy or trade-in for a new or used Honda.

Luckily, There is a certain seasonality to the automobile industry that customers can capitalize on in order to enjoy big savings.

The Best Time to Buy a Used Honda

The best time to buy a used car depends on when the new cars come in.

The good news is that you can predict this.

New cars typically come in at the end and beginning of years. So, December, January, and February are typically the best months to buy a used car.

Why?

Because new cars are coming into the lot. Since there is only so much space for vehicles on any given dealership’s lot, you can expect there to be markdowns on the used vehicles that are taking up space that the new cars are meant to fill.

That being said, it all depends on what kind of used vehicle you are looking for.

If you are looking something older, cheap, and with some miles on it, then certainly look for those early-year markdowns.

However, if you wait for the summer, you can get great deals on more recent models Hondas, which may have been bought in the new-car wave and returned within a number of months.

With a little patience, you can get a great deal on a used Honda that is pretty much good as new.

The Best Time to Buy a New Honda

To get more specific than seasons, we would offer you the advice of coming in during times where there may not be a whole lot of shoppers, such as a Monday afternoon (when most buyers are likely to be at work.)

Another reason for early-week shopping is that many buyers come in over the weekend, and so the sales team will likely be more willing to give you a deal after a weekend of good sales.

Coming in at the end of the month can also be a good way to get a deal on a Honda, as this is when most dealerships are looking to fill sales quotas.

You should also keep in mind that most dealerships set up deals for holidays such as Presidents Day and Labor Day, which can lead to big savings on new vehicles.

If you have been wanting to buy a certain kind of car, based on make or model, then you should do some Googling—if press, such as reviews, has been released for an updated model of a car, then you can take that as a sign that the car is going to be on the lots soon. This is an especially useful tactic if you have your eyes set on a vehicle that is expected to sell well—sometimes, it is wiser to get your hands on the vehicle as soon as possible, rather than waiting for a day where you may get a markdown.

2024 Honda Prologue

Here at Neil Huffman Honda, we need to stay up to speed on the many different developments across the variety of automakers whose vehicles we offer our customers. At just about every one of our many dealerships, we sell electric vehicles (EV), and will only be selling more in the years to come.

Take it from us, pretty much every automaker is playing a role in the electric vehicle boom that we are seeing, but Honda has set itself apart from the crowd with a bold promise to offer a 100% zero-emission lineup in the United States by the year 2040.

Though the phrase “the year 2040” makes many of us think of the future, it is indeed only a mere 18 years from now. If you have any young children, there is a chance that their first car may be an all-electric vehicle. This will certainly be the case if they will be driving a Honda.

Honda is starting this march towards zero-emissions in the U.S. with a fully electric vehicle called the Prologue. The 2024 Honda Prologue will be the first step towards a fully-electric Honda lineup, which you can be certain will be offered by Neil Huffman Honda in 2040 and beyond.

Recently, Honda updated the 2024 Honda Prologue page with a detailed illustration of the 2024 Honda Prologue, which will likely be available by fall 2023. This illustration is featured below, along with what this image suggests about the 2024 Honda Prologue.

Honda Offers a Preview

Many promises are made in this image that we have reason to believe Honda will keep.

Before even considering the vehicle, by looking at its surroundings, we can see that it is achieving a fairly high speed, as the world is more or less rushing past the 2024 Honda Prologue, or, more accurately, the 2024 Honda Prologue is rushing through the world. What Honda is telling us here is that this is an EV that will be able to compete with other fuel SUVs.

Additionally, we see that this SUV is not just fit for city-dwelling, but can handle going off-road as well, demonstrating that the 2024 Honda Prologue will be a vehicle with a lot of appeal for drivers with a taste for adventure. With the apparently roomy interior in this illustration, there will certainly be enough room for storing cargo on an outdoors excursion

Now, onto the vehicle itself. A sleek SUV, this will be a sizable vehicle that somehow manages to not be bulky or unwieldy, allowing for a smooth and controlled driving experience within a safe SUV.

The large wheels are adorned with presumably tough rubber, fit for all kinds of terrain. Stylish but effective lighting are also a major feature: look at the outward projection of the light from the slim headlights, no doubt made even more effective by the fog lights.

If Honda is planning on making this vehicle more family-oriented, which it certainly already is with the size, then perhaps the headlights will be larger, even if just for the sake of providing more visually immediate proof that the lights are powerful.

The 2024 Honda Prologue at Neil Huffman Honda

Though we still have little more than an illustration to go off of, you can be sure that the 2024 Honda Prologue will deliver on the promise it suggests in the picture above. If you are interested in buying this historic EV, which we believe will be available in late 2023, then be sure to reach out to us at Neil Huffman Honda, as we will get you the best price on this vehicle.

2023 Honda CR-V

Scheduled for release in Q4 2022, devoted Honda enthusiasts everywhere will have their eye on this reimagined compact SUV

The approaching release of the 2023 Honda CR-V is expected to bring a welcome and exciting refresh of the car maker’s venerable CR-V compact SUV. Though an official reveal has not yet happened, Honda devotees in Louisville and southern Indiana are sure to love Honda’s newest take on its most popular model in the United States. Based on what we know so far, the 2023 Honda CR-V has evolved in design to a sleeker, sportier, more sophisticated version of itself.

If you’re a dedicated Honda driver (and so many of us are!), or you’re ready to upgrade your current compact SUV this year, look to Neil Huffman Honda in Clarksville, Indiana. We think you’ll enjoy the more modern approach to this top player in the compact SUV market.

CR-V retains title for best-selling Honda model

Honda first brought its CR-V model to market in 1997. Since that time, the compact SUV has seen a total of three body styles (not including the new 2023 release), while the Honda CR-V’s current body style is in its fifth model year. It continues to be Honda’s most popular model on the market today, as well as top in its class. In 2021, Honda sold 361,271 CR-Vs in the United States. Despite the worldwide decrease in semiconductor chip availability, this is an 8.3 percent increase over 2020 U.S. sales. It seems the Honda CR-V will be an evergreen staple for years to come.

Honda’s new brand philosophy is “simple and something”, and from what we know, that appears to be translating well in this newest 2023 CR-V. The interior is being redesigned with a simplified, clean look, while we expect it will still feature a nice range of occupant amenities.

Leaked images online prove road testing for the 2023 Honda CR-V is in full swing ahead of its release later this year. Prototype imagery has made its way online, as well. That said, these exciting images indicate a longer and slightly wider body for the incoming model. Various speculative renderings and photos indicate a more masculine, sporty, and contemporary exterior (compared to the current body style). Of the more striking aesthetic features at the front of the vehicle are slimmed headlights with a sharper, less round appearance, along with a higher grill design featuring what look like performance-influenced, larger air openings. To be sure, this stands to be a fresh take on the ever-reliable Honda CR-V!

Will the 2023 Honda CR-V feature a third passenger row?

While this compact SUV has always featured two passenger seating rows, there is information that points to the real possibility of a third-row optional version in some automotive markets. We’ll have to be patient to confirm what Honda has in-store for us, but in the meantime, our excitement is building!

Love Hondas? Neil Huffman Honda in southern Indiana has what you want!

If you are in the market for a compact SUV – you can’t go wrong with the tried-and-true Honda CR-V. It will be worth your wait for the official unveiling of the 2023 Honda CR-V later this year.
