Honda has made the promise to make their lineup fully EV by 2050

30 electric vehicle (EV) models will be offered by Honda by 2030. In that same decade, you will see Honda producing at least 2 million EVs per year

This is all part of a $38 billion investment that Honda is pouring into its electrification efforts.

But even now, you are going to be seeing more and more electric Honda vehicles hitting our lots at Neil Huffman Honda in Clarksville, Indiana

Honda’s Next-Gen EV Will Be Here Next Year

The 2024 Honda Prologue will be a fully electric SUV. This will be Honda’s first step forward in creating a wholly electric fleet.

This SUV preserves everything you already like about SUVs: Cargo space (102.6 cubic feet), a rugged design, and road-ready wheels (21 inches).

The ride will also be quieter, thanks to an electric battery being less noisy than a running fuel engine.

Benefits of Driving an Electric Honda Vehicle

Electric motors can achieve instant torque at 0 rpm, allowing for faster takeoffs.

You can also save big on an electric vehicle if you qualify for tax credits, which can help you save up to $7,500*.

Some states allow EVs access to high-occupancy vehicle lanes, which can save you time on your commutes.

Batteries are also designed for longevity, with most manufacturers offering an 8-year, or 100,000-mile, warranty for batteries.

The big draw for many is that low emissions is better for the environment. Honda is committed to eliminating tailpipe emissions in Honda vehicles by 2040.

Oh, and you save plenty of money that would otherwise be going to gas.

Charging Stations Will Be the Next Gas Stations

For many people curious about EVs, the worry is that charging an EV may be a challenge.

However, there is no need to worry, as electric charging stations are becoming more and more common. In fact there are already close to 50,000 electric vehicle charging stations across the U.S.A.

If you can afford it, you can get an individual charging station, which 130,000 people have already invested in.

Will Shell, BP, Chevron, et al be folding now that charging stations are expanding nationwide, while fuel cars are slowly but surely being phased out of the marketplace?

If your intuition is yes, consider that the manufacturers of fuel vehicles are now making electric vehicles. You can be certain that those gas station chains will be converting to electric charging stations in the future.
