The all new 2021 Odyssey is here, and with the new model years comes a fresh redesign, as well as some fantastic new features. Returning in 2021 are the 5 trims of the 2020 Odyssey. They are the LX, EX, EX-L, Touring, and Elite. All of these trims feature their own unique features and benefits. In 2021 there is an Odyssey for everyone. Below are some of the brand new features and differences that make the 2021 Odyssey lineup different from its predecessor.

The Odyssey in 2021 returns providing an impressive array of top of the line safety features. One of the most impressive upgrades for the is the inclusion of Honda Sensing™ technology which will come standard in all trims. Some of the features that come included with all 2021 Odysseys are collision mitigation braking, lane departure warning and lane keeping assist, cruise control, and emergency pedestrian braking. The 2021 Odyssey also features automatic high beams, so that when  trips continue into the long hours of the night or you find yourself navigating inclimate weather, you can ensure the road ahead is visible, knowing that they will dim when another vehicle is near.

Also arriving in 2021 is the brand new Rear Seat Reminder system, which allows drivers to safely monitor children in the backseat and gives a reminder to drivers to check the backseat before exiting the vehicle. The feature is fully integrated with Honda’s CabinWatch technology, which gives drivers a view of the cabin through the display in front. Not only is this brand new for the Odyssey in 2021, but it’s an industry first. Honda continues to live up to its name as the safe and innovative manufacturer of family SUV’s.

It’s hard to look at the 2021 Odyssey and not notice what is perhaps it’s most obvious new feature and that is it’s stunning redesign. The exterior of the SUV offers a bold new look, featuring an all new headlight and grille design. The rear window is accented by a gloss black strip, and the grille with a chrome one, giving each end of the vehicle a stylish new athletic appearance. The interior also features prominent upgrades and is furnished with elegant yet functionally improved leather upholstery redesign. The cabin is spacious, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing; everything you would want in a family vehicle.

The interior of the 2021 Odyssey now features second seats that fold nearly flat and are easier to remove, making for a more versatile and spacious interior than its 2020 predecessor. This year’s models return with ample interior niceties, such as heated seats and tri-zone automatic climate control, and Apple Carplay and Android Autoscreen. The Display Auto infotainment center comes in all models except the LX. Also new in 2021 is power controlled driver lumbar support.

None of these upgrades are to say that Honda has left behind the great mechanics of what made previous Odyssey models so fantastic. Returning in 2021 is the 280 horsepower 3.5 liter i-VTEC™ engine V-6 engine. This engine provides the same whopping 260+ plus feet of torque, along with the Variable Cylinder Management™ technology. Each trim level of the Odyssey in 2021 will feature 10-speed automatic transmission. All of this technology goes into what is perhaps one of the smoothest and safest rides in the family SUV market.

Overall, the 2021 Honda Odyssey boasts some great new features that certainly make it stand out among its predecessors and competitors. The vehicle continues to carry the legacy of being the ultimate family SUV offering both safety, style, and convenience.
